The first ‘lenticular-esque’ dress in the series is an archive piece originally designed in 2018 and shown at the ROBERTS | WOOD presentation at ICA London in February 2019 as part of the ‘VISCERA’ Collection. Imagery from a Gray’s anatomy textbook has been digitally redrawn, manipulated, distorted and collaged with details from 16th Century floral paintings. The fleshy petals are distorted and blended, forming frames around the hand-drawn medical illustrations.

The print also references the importance of hands to the designer - through the exploration of feminism, creativity and making. The print subverts the idea of traditionally undervalued ‘women’s work’, especially regarding the making of textiles and clothing, and reframes the women’s hands as an incredibly powerful tool.
