This Mexica legend reveals 9 (IX) levels or universes that the soul must traverse after death, provided it was a natural death. Stripping away our physical body, we allow the soul and spirit to finally rest in peace. In the third (III) universe, there is a mountain of obsidian, sharp and unforgiving. This represents the challenges and transformations the soul must undergo to free itself from earthly attachments. It is a moment of purification and rebirth. These stones symbolize personal growth and transformation. These NFTs are Catrinas, which began as analog watercolors and were later digitally intervened with added music as part of that feeling.
