In Bound by the Beast, I’ve captured something raw, something that feels like it’s barely contained. It’s an embodiment of that inner pull, the feeling of being wrapped up and restrained by thoughts or fears that feel almost alive. The creature, half-wrapped around the figure’s face, isn’t just an outside force, it’s a part of her, tearing through the surface, merging her identity with something monstrous and uncontrollable. The colors show that duality I think about often: the controlled, composed self versus the unleashed, chaotic one. The eyes are empty, not in ignorance, but in a haunted awareness of this transformation happening within. The beast isn’t just an external force, it's more like a manifestation of those parts we’d rather keep hidden, the impulses or instincts that coil around our minds, waiting to be set free.
